Actress/singer (and newly appointed leader for her charity Saving Our Daughters)  Keke Palmer is kicking off National Bullying and Domestic Violence Month by visiting her neighborhood YWCA in Pasadena California. She is helping to launch the the anti-bullying “Oath Project” initiative partnership between YWCA USA & Saving Our Daughters with a national Public Service Announcement.

The Anti-bullying Oath PSA was shot and directed by actor Rockmond Dunbar (fresh from the set of the FX Network show Sons of Anarchy where he’s appearing as the tough new sheriff) on Saturday October 1st. Five special YWCA girls were selected from the branch participate in the PSA with Keke Palmer and did an awesome job during the shoot.

After the shoot was completed, Keke also spoke to a private group of teens and parents concerning the Oath. She had the group take the eight written initial steps of the Oath initiative. Upon completing the action steps, Keke encouraged a teen boy and his mother concerning a problem of bullying because of her child’s weight. Keke’s PSA will begin airing nationally in November.

The National Oath PSA was coordinated by co-partner Carol Shine of Fly Paper Entertainment. It was shot and edited by the Szymon Say’z production company.
