Some people dream of success…while others wake up and work hard for it; Aleesha Carter took a shot at success, and let’s just say that she is giving success a run for its money. She is a mother of three sons, one of which passed away shortly after birth in 2012, while also maintaining a nurturing career in Public Relations and Marketing. Embracing the leadership and entrepreneurship resembled from her parents who demonstrated these same core values in their own success. Entrepreneur and philanthropist; Aleesha Carter was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Carter is on an incomparable pace that some 34-year old single mothers cannot attest to. She derives from an atmosphere where the struggles of split parenthood is an intense debate daily, as well as, living in a rural urban environment, seemed to be normal. She continues to raise her two sons as the most important factor in her life, and is the CEO/Founder of a rapidly growing Public Relations and Marketing Boutique that was created from this same factor. Carter graduated from North High School in Columbus, Ohio, continued on to Columbus State Community College upon High School graduation while pregnant with her first son. This same choice also ignited a new beginning for her love of writing. Carter furthered her education at Columbus State Community College, and then transferred to Franklin University obtaining a degree in Marketing along with a minor in Public Relations. During Carter’s matriculation through college she experienced a mixture of being versatile with various projects, having offered different opportunities that presented a well-rounded nature of growth, socializing among different people, using creativity as a forefront on an everyday basis. Such knowledge turned a college grad into a successful entrepreneur. In 2013, Aleesha chose to pursue a second degree majoring in Business Management with a concentration in International Marketing at Strayer University due to her interest in global business. She graduated with this degree, March 2016 with a 3.1 GPA, as well as, began the journey of obtaining her Master’s degree simultaneously.

Lori Hall was born in Indianapolis,Indiana and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and Atlanta,GA. She attended college at Fisk University in Nashville,Tennessee where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Communications. During her four-year tenure at Fisk, she completed numerous internships in public relations, radio and television. Immediately after graduating, she moved to Atlanta and worked at the Atlanta Journal & Constitution in Retail Advertising. A year later, Lori was accepted to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunications at Arizona State University. It was there where she studied Broadcast Journalism, Public Relations and worked in the Promotions Department for a local radio station. In 2001, Lori completed her thesis on the “Portrayal of African American Women In Advertising” and graduated with a Masters in Mass Communication.
Lori continued her career in radio as the Assistant Director of Promotions and Marketing for WVEE/WAOK radios. After four successful years, Lori was named Promotions Director for WMBX (X-102.3) and WJBW (B-106.3) in West Palm Beach,Florida. Still climbing the ladder of promotions, Lori moved further South to Miami where she worked as Promotions Director of WMIB (103.5 The Beat). During her tenure there, she was nominated by Radio and Records Magazine as a Promotions and Marketing Director of the year. Next stop was back to Atlanta where she served as the Creative Marketing Director of Radio One Atlanta. In that role, she was responsible for the overall marketing of the Radio One Atlanta stations. Next move was to the East coast to handle the Marketing and Promotions for the CBS Radio Cluster (WPGC 95.5, El Zol 99.1, 106.7 The Fan, Fresh 94.7 and the Big Talker 1580) in Washington,DC. After two busy and successful years in DC, she returned back home to Atlanta,GA where she is currently the Marketing Director for the Radio One cluster which includes WHTA – Hot 107.9 / WPZE – Praise 102.5 and WAMJ – Majic 97.5 – 107.5
Outside of work, Lori keeps herself busy in various organizations including mentoring with the Boys and Girls Club and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She also had a TV debut on HGTV’s “My First Place” where the search for her first home was captured on TV and continues to air on the network. She has also been featured in Who’s Who in Black Atlanta and most recently in the inaugural edition of Who’s Who inBlackDC.

PUBLIC RELATIONS GWENDOLYN PRIESTLEY
Los Angeles native, Gwendolyn Priestley, started her foray with the entertainment industry at the top. On a brief visit to Los Angeles, Gwen met Public Relations guru, Bob Gibson. Gibson, the president and CEO of the Group, one of the entertainment industry’s most prestigious PR and marketing companies, decided that Gwendolyn would be his new protégé’. Within a year, Gwen left her position as Public Affairs Director at WNOL-TV in New Orleans and became a publicist at the Group.
While at the Group, she worked with top-notch artists including, Bette Midler, Melissa Etheridge, Gloria Estefan, Mark Walberg, New Kids on The Block, Tupac Shakur, Carol King, Vanessa Williams, Natalie Cole and MC Hammer as well as the Regal Theatre of Chicago, and NBA stars, James Edwards and AC Green of the Los Angeles Lakers. Her duties included writing and generating press releases to all national media outlets, tour press, and booking for broadcast media. Other duties included strategic marketing functions, finding sponsorship opportunities, product placement and endorsements.
After several years at the Group, Gibson encouraged Gwen to take the plunge and try her hand in corporate America. Motown Records recruited Gwen, where she was named National Director of Public Relations and Artist Development. While at Motown, Gwen supervised the PR department, public relations budgets, and co-created PR campaigns for label artists Queen Latifah, Boyz II Men, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the Temptations to name a few. Additionally, she was responsible for hiring outside PR companies and booking artists for all major media outlets. “When you work with artists like Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross that’s as good as it gets,” said Priestley of her tenure at Motown.
Soon after Motown, No Limit Records’, Master P hired Gwen. While at No Limit, she was responsible for PR and marketing strategies for rap artists Master P, Silkk the Shocker, Romeo and Mystikal. In addition to the music projects at No Limit, Gwen also worked on the film, I’m Bout It, which was Master P’s first film endeavor.
Eager to return to her agency roots Gwen decided to go back to her home at the Group. Soon after her return, Bob Gibson, her mentor, decided to retire passing the company on to Gwen and Patti Mitsui, another seasoned publicist at the Group. The partners changed and so did the name. The Group became PRP and they started producing as well as continuing in PR. With the change came new clients including Carol King, Ralph Tresvant, Angie Stone, Smokie Robinson, Mo Nique, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza, Oscar nominated producers, Suzanne dePasse and Stuart Benjamin (Ray), AFTRA, The NAACP Image Awards, The Essence Awards, and the Entertainment Industry
Foundation. “My duties at PRP changed and were more of a challenge as a partner [for the last five years],” she shares. Not only has she been responsible for creating and implementing both PR campaigns and marketing strategies. She was also responsible for generating clients, hiring and facilitating the training of staff and every aspect of running a PR office.
Additionally, Gwen has produced several events within the entertainment industry, including the Urban Network Conference in Palm Springs as well as the annual event in Memphis. In addition, she produced the 50th Anniversary celebration of Motown Records, A Tribute to Berry Gordy. On the Philanthropic side, she produced the annual fundraiser for the Childshare Foundation, raising over a hundred thousand dollars on the silent auction alone. Additionally, she works with the Grammy in the Schools program placing entertainers with various community outreach programs. As well as produced a major fund raiser for UNCF in Washington DC during inaugural week.
Other projects include, producing Summer Soul Jam, annual music and community event held in Compton. Summer Soul Jam has performances from A list artists and politicians as part of the program. Additionally, Gwen co produces Los Angeles premiere urban event, A Taste of Soul. This event brings over 375,000 people to Crenshaw Blvd. The Taste of Soul is the largest event of its kind in the US.TOS is a community based event that is heavily partner with the elected officials in the state of California, from the Mayor’s office to the Attorney General of California. Gwen is also on the board of the Urban Born Foundation, Waste Not Want Not Foundation and Advisory Board of the California Women’s Conference.
Gwen has been working with multi-platinum entertainer Percy Miller once again. But this time she has taken on the role as producer, executive VP of his media company. With P she has been able to really show her talents and relationships. Gwen has help to create reality TV shows for the company as well as overseeing the day to day operations of the philanthropic efforts of the company. Presently, Gwen is helping to rebuild schools in New Orleans as well as co-producing the Urban Born National School Tour. Currently, she has taken on the role as manager for Romeo Miller, guiding his career into its next stage of stardom. She has also just completed her first book, Ladies First. A book on modern day etiquette for todays woman.
Joining her dear friend and colleague, Ginger Campbell, Gwen has taken on the role of generating and implementing new business with Snap productions. At Snap Gwen and Ginger tackle some of the biggest and most successful events held in the country to date. Just recently she worked the BET EXPERIENCE for AEG.
Because philanthropy is such a part of Gwen’s life she has just completed coordinating the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Revlon Run Walk for Women in Los Angeles and
New York City. The RRW is in its twentieth year and has raised over 70 million dollars for breast cancer awareness. The event was hosted by Emma Stone, Cristina Applegate, Bruce Willis and Halley Berry. In keeping with her philanthropic passion, this summer she also coordinated the international telethon, Stand Up To Cancer. This year’s Stand Up raised over 109 million dollars for cancer research. The show was hosted and Executive Produced by Gwynneth Pathrow. Gwen will return this year taking on the same responsibilities.
Gwen is alumni of Southern University in Baton Rouge and is also a former Miss Bayou Classic. She created the Clothe the Survivors campaign with some of her colleagues for the Santa Monica Red Cross as a response to Hurricane Katrina. Gwen is an active member of the Agape International Spiritual Center; she lives in Marina del Rey, California where she enjoys yoga, hiking and spending time with her close family and friends.

Roger is the President and CEO of Bobbcat Films a film and television production company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to creating Bobbcat films, Roger served as Executive Vice President of Tyler Perry Studios for six years.
Roger is the Supervising Producer of “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” which premiered on TBS as the highest rated first run sitcom in basic cable history. The show has taped over 222 episodes in five years. He also is the Executive Producer of the sitcom “Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns,” which premiered on TBS as the second highest rated sitcom in basic cable history and has taped over 140 episodes over a three year period. Roger’s theatrical producing credits include “Diary Of A Mad Black Woman”, “Madea’s Family Reunion, “Daddy’s Little Girls,” “Why Did I Get Married?,” “Meet The Browns,” “The Family that Preys”, “Madea Goes To Jail” “I Can Do Bad All By Myself, “Why Did I Get Married Too?,” “For Colored Girls” and more recently “Madea’s Big Happy Family”. The films have a combined theatrical revenue of over $500 million dollars. Roger has won Six NAACP Image Awards for his film and television projects.
Roger was youngest African-American First AD member of the Director’s Guild of America. He has worked as an First Assistant Director on over 50 films. He is the only two time winner of the Best Film Award at the American Black Film Festival. Roger was named one of the top 40 executives under 40 by the The Network Journal Magazine. He has been profiled in several magazines such as Black Enterprise, Essence, Uptown and TV Guide. Born in London and raised in Brooklyn, Roger’s career in film began when he was accepted into the Director’s Guild of America’s prestigious Assistant Director Trainee program. This highly selective program enables candidates to learn the intricacies of major feature filmmaking for a two year period under the guidance of some of Hollywood’s top directors and producers. Roger was fortunate to work with such legendary directors as Woody Allen, Mike Nichols and James Mangold.
Upon completing the program, Roger worked within the New York independent film community as an assistant director and quickly rose to the rank of producer. His many credits include “NYPD Blue,” “New York Undercover,” “Copland,” “Witness to the Mob,” and “State Property 2”. Roger attended Brooklyn College and the School Of Visual Arts.
