…Saving Our Daughters & BGC of Greater Washington come together for Phenomenal event

On Saturday August 4th, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington DC., and Saving Our Daughters teamed up at the 2nd Annual Community Family Festival (CCFF 2) which took place at Six Flags Amusement Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, less than 30 minutes from the Nation’s Capital in Washington, DC.

The last year Family Festival was hosted by MTV Networks Farnsworth Bentley, WPGC-FM’s, Big ‘Tigger’ and Free, was held in Washington DC. Feature performers included the legendary Blackbyrds, Marcus Johnson, Latin Grammy Winners Afro Bop and Jive Records teen Hip Hop sensation Issa.

This years’ event was hosted by actor Romeo Miller, who recently starred in Tyler Perry’s hit movie, “Witness Protection” as one of the lead actors and also joined him at the event was Actor Mishon, who also starred in ABC Family’s’ Lincoln Heights.

All activities of day were slated to take place throughout the park and at were dedicated BCGGW branded ‘village’ which included a 2000 plus seat amphitheater which included performance from University of Maryland Cheerleaders (UMD) and NFL Player, LaVar RaShad Arrington who discussed the importance of sports in schools.  Mishon also lead teens from the Boys & Girls Club on taking the national Oath and prepare teachers and families against bullying before the start of the schools in DC.
