The members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast Hancock County Unit went live on a Skype call with “Celebrity Godparent” Quvenzhané Wallis, who starred as Annie in the 2014 film “Annie” and now guest stars on the television show “Black-ish”.

The partnership began last October when 100 girls ages 5-8 were able to Skype interview author and actress on FOX’s “Empire”, Grace Byers. Members read Byers’ book “I Am Enough”, and had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in open dialogue with the author. “I Am Enough” focuses on positive affirmations, self-love, and reaching for your dreams. Each girl received her own copy of the book.
