In 2019, Young Hollywood has taking Saving Our Daughters by storm, empowering their peers within the arts, to deter bullying and building up self-esteem in girls.
During the celebration of Memorial Day weekend in the United States for remembering and honoring people who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces, on Saturday May 25th, the East LA Rising Cinderellas welcomed their next inspirational actress, Taylor Mosby.
You may know her as the amazing, witty sixteen-year old, ‘Amira’, the daughter of Shay (Tiffany Haddish) and her estranged dad, Tray (Tracy Morgan) on the TBS’s hit comedy series, The Last O.G.
Taylor made her special visit as a “Celebrity Godparent” to deliver a powerful message during the Memorial Holiday, on what it takes to take on a busy career that includes acting, singing and dancing; while also balancing and enjoying her teen life and lasting friendships.
Taylor has recently been seen playing ‘Chayla’ in the recently released Breakthrough, opposite Chrissy Metz and Topher grace. She has appeared in a guest star spot in Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) and recurring roles in Criminal Minds (CBS), Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn (Nickelodeon) and Twisted (ABC Family). And also, some additional projects are Adam Ruins Everything (TruTV), About a Boy (NBC), The Middle (ABC) and Life in Pieces (CBS).
After the Cinderella discussion with Taylor, the Cinderellas all enjoyed their Memorial Holiday food of Hot Dogs and Pizza.
Taylor will be joining an incredible list of young actresses who have become “Celebrity Godparents” such as, This Is Us, Lyric Ross, Disney Channel, Skai Jackson and McKeena Roberts who played opposite, Dwayne, ‘The Rock’ Johnson in the film, Skyscraper.
About Taylor Mosby
Taylor Mosby is a sixteen-year-old quadruple threat actress, singer, dancer and musician. She is currently playing ‘Amira’, the daughter of Shay (Tiffany Haddish), Tray (Tracy Morgan), and stepdad Josh (Ryan Gaul) in TBS’s The Last OG. She can also be seen singing and starring in 20th Century Fox’s Breakthrough, opposite Chrissy Metz and Topher Grace.
Taylor was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where her love for the stage began. She joined a theater company at the age of seven. By 10 years old she had performed in over a dozen plays and musicals. She went on to perform in several music and acting showcases throughout the nation. In an effort to pursue her ultimate dream, she relocated to Los Angeles with her family. In the four years following, she booked various commercials and TV shows such as a lead in a national AT&T commercial, a recent guest star spot in Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) and recurring roles in Criminal Minds (CBS), Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn (Nickelodeon) and Twisted (ABC Family). Some additional projects are Adam Ruins Everything (TruTV), About a Boy (NBC), The Middle (ABC) and Life in Pieces (CBS).
Aside from acting, she enjoys traveling, writing, roller skating, basketball, hiking and spending time with her family, including her three younger brothers. When not filming, she can be found singing and performing professionally, as well as writing and arranging songs on one of her favorite instruments, the piano.
